Exhibition

For its 10th anniversary, EMERGEANDSEE presents a new part of the festival: the exhibition. Audio and video artists as well as “classic” arts like photography and painting are welcome. Like the other parts of the festival, the exhibition reflects on the  ”Hybrid Metropolis: In Between Spaces”.

In the former changing rooms of the Stattbad Wedding, we go looking for audiovisual in-betweens, that deal with otherness, identity and space.

Images from the city, sounds from the countryside, impressions from the in-between…

The exhibition provides space for expansive installations, interactive projections, audio works, photographs, paintings, screens and loops. It is open for all kind of medial projects, no matter what format.

Pünktlich zum 10. Jubiläum stellt EMERGEANDSEE einen neuen Festivalbereich vor: Die Ausstellung! Im Zusammenspiel mit Filmprogramm und lectures behandelt auch die Ausstellung das Thema „Hybride Metropolis – Zwischen Räumen“. Hier widmen wir uns der Auseinandersetzung mit dem Eigenen und dem Fremden und der Aushandlung unserer Existenz zwischen verschiedenen Räumen.

In den alten Umkleidekabinen des Stattbads begeben wir uns auf die Suche nach auditiven und visuellen Zwischenräumen, die sich mit Fremdheit, Identität und Raum beschäftigen.

Die Ausstellung bietet Platz für raumgreifende Installationen, interaktive Projektionen, Audio-Arbeiten, Bilder, Screens und Loops. Sie ist offen für aktuelle mediale Projekte, unabhängig vom Format.
